AITM faculties organise teaching and research into individual subjects or groups of subjects. Their work is organised into sub-divisions called Departments overseen by an Head of the Department. Select faculty also have secondary appointments.
Applied science applies existing scientific knowledge to develop more practical applications, like technology or inventions. It aims at imparting knowledge of different aspects of applied sciences useful in engineering and technology for the students of all engineering disciplines.
Civil engineering deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings.
Computer Science and Engineering teaches a wide range of topics like algorithms, programming languages, operating systems, database management systems, computer network, computer graphics and artificial intelligence.
Electrical and Electronics Engineering deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. They work on a wide range of components, devices and systems, from tiny microchips to huge power station generators.
Electronics and Communication Engineering deals with implementation of applications, principles and algorithms developed within many related fields, for example solid-state physics, radio engineering, telecommunications, control systems, signal processing, systems engineering, computer engineering, instrumentation engineering, electric power control, robotics, and many others.
Management Studies offers students the best in strategic knowledge, industry insights, life skills and successful adaptation to real time business situations. It is a wide field that incorporates many types of management positions. From major corporations to independent businesses, every operation needs skilled administrators in order to succeed.
Mechanical Engineering deals with the design, construction, and use of machines. It applies the principles of engineering, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
