A History of AITM

Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, formerly known as Anjuman Engineering College, is the prestigious unit of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, which manages 16 institutions, and is recognized as one of the premier educational organizations in South India.

AITM was established in 1980 as a Muslim minority institution, and is currently positioned among the renowned technical institutions in Karnataka, with a well developed infrastructure and dedicated faculty. AITM is the only institution in North Canara, which offers Master of Business Administration course of Visvesvaraya Technological University. Many students have achieved good ranks at the university level, and have been placed at reputed companies in India and abroad.

It has a well disciplined and conducive study environment with a 50 acre Wi-Fi campus, Masjid, and hostel with vegetarian and non-vegetarian boarding facilities. The departments of Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering have been recognized as research centres under Visvesvaraya Technological University. Sincere efforts are on, to impart adequate skills to the students, enabling them grow up to a globally competent level and tackle the professional challenges in a multidisciplinary working environment.
