Speak for Karnataka, the most awaited event was flagged off on 19th November 2015 in the institute Seminar Hall. The event which primarly had two-fold objective, namely, to unleash the debating skills among youth and to create awareness about Karnataka and its heritage. Speaking on the occassion Chief Guest, Rotarian Hebbal (PDG, RI District 3180) stressed the youth to inculcate the spirit and ethos of Karnataka. He said that on many fronts like technology, industry, education, etc Karnataka has carved its own image.
More than 8 students drawn from different institutions of Uttara Kannada district took part in the event organized by the college, which is the district nodal centre for the competition. The event is co-sponsored by The Times of India group and FM broadcaster Radio Mirchi. President of the function, Muhammad Ansar (General Secretary of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen) spoke about the advancement achieved by Karnataka in different fields. Prof. Sarfaraz Mirza (Student Welfare Officer) welcomed the gathering and Prof. Noorain Peerzade proposed vote of thanks. Principal Dr. Mushtaq Bhavikatti voiced his thoughts about the event and brand Karnataka. The even was witnessed by large section of students, staff and media persons that included Siddique Ismail (Additional General Secretary of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen), Azeem Ambari (Board Member of Anjuman ITM), Aftab Qamri (Secretary of Professional Colleges, Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen).
The contest will identify four winners who will be taken for regional levels to compete for the final title.
