Profile Summary

Dr. Chidanand Naik is serving as an Assistant Professor, bringing expertise in soil mechanics, geotechnical modeling, and environmental geotechnics. He has a total of 12 years of teaching experience. He has guided 18 UG student projects. Among them, 2 projects were sponsored by KSCST. Being a Geotechnical Engineer, he is also actively involved in the college’s consultancy cell. He has made significant contributions to the construction of the Varahi Lift Irrigation Project-Udupi, the construction of machine foundations for the D.G room and retaining structures for the Sharavathy Hydro Electric Project, KPCL, Jogfalls, construction of Honnavar Port at Kasarkod, Honnavar, construction of retaining structures and slope stability analysis for Konkan railways from Udupi to Goa and Construction of OHTs under esteemed Jal Jeevan Mission, etc. He has a keen interest in the research also. His dedication to the research is reflected in two Scopus-indexed papers, which focus on advancing the understanding of geotechnical processes.
