The Mechanical Engineering Department has a Mechanical Students Innovative council (MECSICO), a student body which acts as a platform to exhibit the students in built leadership qualities by conducting various departmental events. Inauguration of MECSICO for the academic year 2018-19 and MoU signing function with GT & TC, Mysore was held on 15th October, 2018.
Anjuman Hami-e- Muslimeen president Janab Abdul Rahim Jukako Sahab presided over the function. Mr. K. L. Prakash, Deputy General Manager, GT & TC, Mysore was the chief guest of the function and Dr. Nishith Bhatt was the Guest of honour. Other officials Mr. Ashok Walikar, Principal, GT & TC, Dandeli and Mr. Arun Nayak, Nodal Officer of GT & TC, Dandeli were also present during the programme.
Dr. M. A. Bhavikatti, Principal AITM, Bhatkal and Mr. K. L. Prakash, Deputy General Manager, GT & TC, Mysore exchanged files after signing of MoU. The aim of this MoU is to exchange knowledge and other recourses between AITM, Bhatkal and GT & TC, Mysore. It helps in conducting academic requirements like Internship, Training and practical exposure to the students of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
