We are proud to say that, as part of Technical skilling initiative, BMW India Private Limited (BME GROUP INDIA) , Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management, Bhatkal is one of 365 Engineering institutions identified across the country in the BMW SKILL NEXT PROGRAMME.
As per this initiative, the Department of Mechanical Engineering of AITM, Bhatkal received the state of art BMW twin power turbo, inline 4-cylinder diesel engine and eight speed, steptronic automatic transmission. This will give students a chance to gain practical exposure in the automotive industry.
The salient features of the said engine are:
– Combination of common rail direct injection and a turbo charger with variable turbo geometry
– Light weight aluminium construction
– Output of 140KW / 190 HP and a maximum torque of 1,750-2,500 rpm
– Maximum performance, excellent responsiveness and agile power delivery at all speeds for high efficiency.
